Amputee Barbie

Were you the type of girl that kept your Barbie Dolls neat and perfect in her little carry case? Or did you chop her hair off, draw on her face and lose all of her clothes? If the latter then this jewelry line from Margaux Lange is for you!

The online store carrying her line describes it as follows:

Margaux’s “Plastic Body Series” jewellery stems from a desire to re-purpose common materials (Barbie dolls!) in combination with metals. She takes pleasure in the contrast and contradiction of something mass-produced being transformed and revealed as a unique, handmade, wearable piece of art.

We are all for supporting the Arts, but at £110.00 (approx $145 USD) we suggest you just head down to your parents basement and dig up one of those old Barbies you already wrecked and get crafty!

Looks like the artist also has her own Etsy Shop and that she will be debuting some more creations shortly.

Pimp Your Toilet People!

il_430xn62173857

When I saw these decal options available on my favorite crafty site Etsy I thought “What weirdo would actually put a bike decal on their toilet bowl?” But then after browsing the options I started to get into the idea of personalizing my toilet and everything else in my apartment!  I bet you could use these decals on your fridge, doors or walls too! Now… can you just make me a moustache one???
